Irreal Madrid's Edmundo Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Félix in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Evandro Félix hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, André Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Irreal Madrid's Luiz Gustavo Leão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafa Cordeiro. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. Edmundo Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Félix in the 32nd minute of play. After 32 minutes, Evandro Félix made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Irreal Madrid's Edmundo Mineiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Benjamin Arruda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmundo Mineiro. Irreal Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Arruda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando Ceresso was the one to do the kick off. With 53 minutes on the clock, Luisão Matorin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Luisão Matorin hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Edmundo Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Fabiofs's Evandro Félix got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Evandro Félix off the ground. After 71 played minutes Fabiofs got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Félix. William Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Cordeiro having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Gustavo Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Irreal Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Leão. In the 77th match minute, Irreal Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Irreal Madrid's José Pedro Travassos was substituted for Lenílson Azevedo. After 79 played minutes Irreal Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Fred Amorim. Benjamin Arruda scored 2-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmundo Mineiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafa Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Lara in the 90th minute of the match. Irreal Madrid's Nuno Lara has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 94th minute.
