The referee ignored VB-Team's protests and gave Shao Kun Yuan a yellow card for diving instead. Shao Kun Yuan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Shao Kun Yuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes Club El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Washington Papa. Ioan Cândea hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Luís Braga sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's César Sampaio got a free kick in the 13th minute. Gervásio Severiano scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Tino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 17th minute of play. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save VB-Team from getting a goal against them. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 25th minute, but Armindo Salgado got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving VB-Team hanging dry this time. With a little luck, VB-Team's Armindo Salgado got control of the ball when Cleto Cordaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Joaquim de Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benjamin Tino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 0-3 became the score in the 40th minute when Sandro Leitão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cleto Cordaro came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armindo Salgado could save by the left post. In the 45th match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shao Kun Yuan to maneuver through the defense. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervásio Severiano in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Tino saved Club El Progreso from getting behind. With 65 minutes on the clock, Ioan Cândea commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. VB-Team made a substitution. Yu Ke Hong replaced Shao Kun Yuan. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club El Progreso! Club El Progreso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Luís Braga scored to the left of an out of position Benjamin Tino, making the score, 1-4. Club El Progreso's Enzo Bot was substituted for Adolfo Fidensio. VB-Team's Qiu Sheng Bang was substituted for Sandro Leitão. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Washington Papa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club El Progreso's supporters rose to their feet, but Washington Papa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Álvaro Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to VB-Team getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Álvaro Rezende hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 80th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club El Progreso were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after VB-Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bonifacio Txindoki took the corner. Club El Progreso's Bonifacio Txindoki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armindo Salgado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Armindo Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleto Cordaro went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indiana Jones in the 88th minute of the match. Enzo Bot kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Enzo Bot got a free kick in the 91st minute. Enzo Pellecchia kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Club El Progreso supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VB-Team's performance. The match ended with a win for VB-Team.
