After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Joaquim de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. VB-Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Stelea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bogdan Stelea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim de Barros went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bogdan Stelea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Rezende during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álvaro Rezende hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Rex Scania MFF's goal looked a bit too open when Shao Kun Yuan came free, but Bogdan Stelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shao Kun Yuan in the 15th minute of play forced Rex Scania MFF's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Braga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Stelea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Joaquim de Barros made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Stelea. Rex Scania MFF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Jim Larsfelt kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Joaquim de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervásio Severiano in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Stelea saved Rex Scania MFF from getting behind. Luís Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Stelea having to interfere. Bogdan Stelea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shao Kun Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Bogdan Stelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim de Barros in the 30th minute of the match. Bogdan Stelea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shao Kun Yuan in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match VB-Team got a corner. Rex Scania MFF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Braga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led VB-Team's Luís Braga to fire away a dangerous shot which Bogdan Stelea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When VB-Team's Shao Kun Yuan in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rex Scania MFF's goalie prevented a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Rex Scania MFF's goal looked a bit too open when Shao Kun Yuan came free, but Bogdan Stelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes Rex Scania MFF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Braga who took care of the corner kick. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rex Scania MFF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luís Braga was slow to take the kick. During this time VB-Team's players had a chance to rest. Luís Braga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogdan Stelea having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, VB-Team's César Sampaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogdan Stelea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Luís Braga came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Braga couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 53rd minute VB-Team were awarded a corner. Luís Braga went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 55th minute, Rex Scania MFF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sandro Leitão fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Viggo Hedkvist fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rex Scania MFF's protests and gave Viggo Hedkvist a yellow card for diving instead. Viggo Hedkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Robert Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VB-Team made a substitution. Yu Ke Hong replaced Enzo Pellecchia. Enzo Pellecchia hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes Rex Scania MFF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Braga who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Rex Scania MFF's Bogdan Stelea got control of the ball when Joaquim de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rex Scania MFF's zone, Yu Ke Hong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Stelea came out of the goal and Yu Ke Hong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. VB-Team's Luís Caeiro was substituted for Joaquim de Barros. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervásio Severiano in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Stelea saved Rex Scania MFF from getting behind. Bogdan Stelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 81st minute of the match. Robert Abrahamsson hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Luís Caeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bogdan Stelea could save by the left post. Luís Caeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Bogdan Stelea made a huge save. Bogdan Stelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Gervásio Severiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VB-Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervásio Severiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Bogdan Stelea made a huge save. In the 93rd minute Gervásio Severiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Stelea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Vilhelm Strömbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rex Scania MFF's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over VB-Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rex Scania MFF throughout the match.
