Guillermo Mitxaut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Fabio Rios made a huge save. Eustacio Romero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guillermo Mitxaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mitxaut cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Fabio Rios was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geronimo Gines to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Chorroarín got a freekick which was hit by Rubén Vilchez. Guillermo Mitxaut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Rios read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Guillermo Mitxaut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
