The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Modestio in the 19th minute of play forced Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Benjamin Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Wang Hai almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino did a great save. 27 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valerio Spadoni in the 28th minute of play. Benjamin Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Modestio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Benjamin Tino came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Amboy FC's Ruperto Modestio. But to his dismay, Ruperto Modestio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cornelio Rius kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Indiana Jones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ariel Mourelatos made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 39th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Mourelatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indiana Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Benjamin Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valerio Spadoni in the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valerio Spadoni to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Club El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Matías Kranevitter. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Benjamin Tino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
