After 3 minutes, Ren Xiang Xun made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Stefano in the 14th minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Romulo Viator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elói Maranhense in the 15th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Romulo Viator kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After having played for 18 minutes, Robben Spoelberchs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanheiro SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robben Spoelberchs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Prestes got free with Romulo Viator in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romulo Viator showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Stefano, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Luís Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romulo Viator breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Kaká Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Dropinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Romulo Viator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Prestes in the 34th minute of play. Wincent Dropinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Kaká Carneiro put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wincent Dropinski. Dadá Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Robben Spoelberchs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romulo Viator. That made the score 2-2 in the 46 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaká Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wincent Dropinski made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Ren Xiang Xun sent off a good shot on target. Romulo Viator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robben Spoelberchs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Su Shu Zhen in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wincent Dropinski saved Castanheiro SC from getting behind. After 58 minutes, Su Shu Zhen made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Su Shu Zhen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robben Spoelberchs hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Carneiro. Luís Prestes scored 3-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romulo Viator, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elói Maranhense hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Rodolfo Sergipano got a free kick in the 79th minute. Romulo Viator showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robben Spoelberchs in the 83rd minute of the match. Robben Spoelberchs took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romulo Viator. Romulo Viator dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Kaká Carneiro hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, Castanheiro SC's Alfredo Stefano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romulo Viator made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. In the 89th minute, Joel De Rijck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kevyn De Bruyne charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevyn De Bruyne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes OTTO FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Kevyn De Bruyne. For all the effort they put into the match, the OTTO FC - FSCMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Castanheiro SC.
