The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Lucio Sharkin came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Sharkin couldn't finish the play. Manoel Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Válbson Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Weverton Everson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olímpico Blumenau FC's Manoel Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gero Mitov in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Weverton Everson got control of the ball when Zé Carlos Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Weverton Everson made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Gildo Aguiar sent off a good shot on target. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Weverton Everson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Gildo Aguiar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Weverton Everson. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Cipriano Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Cipriano Sustrai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Sustrai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manoel Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gero Mitov in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Cipriano Sustrai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes Olímpico Blumenau FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petter Bivall who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Taavetti Vihervä managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Zé Carlos Alves came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Olímpico Blumenau FC fans jumped to their feet. With his leg Weverton Everson managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Olímpico Blumenau FC's Isaltino Siqueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gero Mitov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Schmidt having to interfere. Weverton Everson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jeremias Ferraz hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Zé Carlos Alves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 49th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After the first half Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Sustrai to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olímpico Blumenau FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Cipriano Sustrai kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manoel Schmidt. That made the score 0-2 in the 55 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gero Mitov got free with Manoel Schmidt in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Alves came free, but Weverton Everson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match, Cipriano Sustrai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manoel Schmidt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zé Carlos Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Olímpico Blumenau FC's zone, Lucio Sharkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Schmidt came out of the goal and Lucio Sharkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Weverton Everson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
