The referee showed Hermínio Sanches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when G.E. Juventus FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
