Xande Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee ignored Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's protests and gave Téo Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute Igor Milko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Chiquinho de Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristiano Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Milko to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Messias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Dagoberto Moraes made a precise shot to the right of Xande Buffon. New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. With an all-out effort, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Xande Buffon threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dagoberto Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagoberto Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xande Buffon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xande Buffon made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Cayetano Monico sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New Joinville - FSCMZ throughout the match.
