Benny Stolpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Joinville S.German-FSCMZ got a corner. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elias Vale ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 22nd match minute, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Obregón Hondona to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johannes Kruuse in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Stolpe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maurício Rodrigues was slow to take the kick. During this time S.C. Corinthians Paulista's players had a chance to rest. Freddy Basajaun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Fırat Aytekin made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Kruuse came free, but Benny Stolpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Sandro Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute of the match, Freddy Basajaun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fırat Aytekin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's 毛思伟 got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Johannes Kruuse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Johannes Kruuse got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Sandro Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goalkeeper Benny Stolpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Kruuse. Benny Stolpe made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Johannes Kruuse sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Joinville S.German-FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Hazard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's Benny Stolpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro da Silveira in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Kruuse got free with Benny Stolpe in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johannes Kruuse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Rafinha Orange was substituted for Edgard de Lima. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Evandro Trancoso was substituted for Nildo Rosa. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Camillo Giandomenico was substituted for Johannes Kruuse. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Evandro Trancoso got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Evandro Trancoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benny Stolpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Giandomenico in the 83rd minute of play forced Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goalkeeper Benny Stolpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Obregón Hondona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fırat Aytekin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandro Aguiar went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After 96 minutes of play, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Camillo Giandomenico made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benny Stolpe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
