The referee ignored New Joinville - FSCMZ's protests and gave Thomás Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Joinville City - FSCMZ booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After taking down the ball on Joinville City - FSCMZ's corner Ronaldinho Gaucho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Xande Buffon quite easily take care of the ball. Xande Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 30th minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Geovanildo Luis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xande Buffon was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When Geovanildo Luis came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Joinville City - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanildo Luis couldn't finish the play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Haji Sarap successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Joinville City - FSCMZ had played much better football throughout.
