Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Toninho Guerreiro got the match started through his kick off. VARGINHA FC's Dito Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save VARGINHA FC from getting a goal against them. Joaquim Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Prelipceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute Gabriel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dito Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alexander McCuag came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Clube Sporting Navuo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander McCuag couldn't finish the play. After 15 minutes, Josué Paiva made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Clube Sporting Navuo's Joaquim Pombal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Clube Sporting Navuo booed when VARGINHA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Novaes having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, VARGINHA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Tande to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, VARGINHA FC's Leonel Ribota seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leonel Ribota the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of VARGINHA FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonel Ribota had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VARGINHA FC reached it. In the 63rdth minute of the game Flávio Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VARGINHA FC's Dito Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the game, one of VARGINHA FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dito Novaes had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Alexander McCuag's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dito Novaes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander McCuag went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Clube Sporting Navuo's Clóvis Tande was substituted for Artan Topalovski. VARGINHA FC's Dito Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Batistuta in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Clube Sporting Navuo got a corner. VARGINHA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexander McCuag ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Clube Sporting Navuo's Joaquim Pombal got control of the ball when Alvin Thedin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dito Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Guerreiro in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match, Raúl Valadares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joaquim Pombal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 85th match minute, Clube Sporting Navuo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Fuchs to maneuver through the defense. Andreas Fuchs hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Joaquim Pombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvin Thedin in the 93rd minute. Dito Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Vander in the 97th minute of the match.
