Esporte Clube Zeus's Romeu Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Esporte Clube Zeus from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Andreas Fuchs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeu Batista. That made the score 4-0 in the 23 minute of play. Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Fuchs, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the Esporte Clube Zeus defense, Alexander McCuag kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeu Batista. When Aílton Varela fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
