Duda Velloso started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Dedé Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garopaba F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedé Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 8 minutes of play, Garopaba F.C's Dedé Correia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorival Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lauro Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erlin Haaland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Premier FC's zone, Dedé Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Freire came out of the goal and Dedé Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's Dedé Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorival Freire narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marconi Galvan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Garopaba F.C's Lauro Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Garopaba F.C from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duda Velloso got free with Lauro Meirelles in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ermegildo Edorta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute Reynaldo Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Nicolas Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garopaba F.C's Lauro Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Garopaba F.C from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Premier FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dedé Correia came free, but Dorival Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Velloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lauro Meirelles came out and tried to block the shot, but Duda Velloso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 41st minute. The supporters of Premier FC booed when Garopaba F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keven Swift didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedé Correia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lauro Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dedé Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorival Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Premier FC's goalkeeper Dorival Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Premier FC's goalkeeper Dorival Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedé Correia. Nicolas Bueno hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Garopaba F.C's Rogelio Urtungo was substituted for Dedé Correia. Garopaba F.C's Lauro Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erlin Haaland in the 76th minute of play. Premier FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dudu Gaspar in the 77th minute. Rogelio Urtungo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Dorival Freire when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Garopaba F.C's Lauro Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erlin Haaland in the 83rd minute of play. Lauro Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Lira in the 84th minute of play. Lauro Meirelles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. There was no doubt that Premier FC were the better team. Premier FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
