George Buffon made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Roberto Romário sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, Genaro Aragones was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São José City - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciseski‘s the free kick. A collision led to São José City - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Genaro Aragones hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Ciseski‘s's George Buffon threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmond Boureau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Edmond Boureau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Buffon was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Faustão de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Aragones, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Filipe da Fonseca threw the ball into play from the sideline. George Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Roberto Romário's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but George Buffon firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Dé Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dé Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. São José City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dé Recife 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Genaro Aragones was the one to do the kick off. Ciseski‘s's Faustão de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Ciseski‘s from getting a goal against them. When Hernani Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciseski‘s's protests and gave Hernani Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. Hernani Palmeira hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. São José City - FSCMZ's Jonathan Dijk quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Filipe da Fonseca, made in the 58th minute of the game. George Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Romário, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Edmond Boureau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match, Benedito Paes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Faustão de Moraes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Roberto Romário sped through São José City - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of George Buffon. In the 70th minute, Benedito Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Roberto Romário shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Romário in the 88th minute of the match. The supporters of Ciseski‘s booed when São José City - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primo Mazzola didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Roberto Romário had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Buffon. São José City - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Romário was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Filipe da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Ciseski‘s walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
