Ivo Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Opilano in the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Los Hornos's Everardo Francho got control of the ball when Guilherme Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Jeremias Ignatius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Hornos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imbituba - FSCMZ the free kick. In the 10th minute, Jeremias Ignatius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Hornos's Everardo Francho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Los Hornos from getting a goal against them. Everardo Francho made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Guilherme Souza sent off a good shot on target. Gualterio Nazario's late challenge caught a Imbituba - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualterio Nazario helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes Los Hornos got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Nazario. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ivo Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franklin Tavares made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Los Hornos's Gualterio Nazario. Ivo Ramalho came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Hornos's Paulo Opilano. But to his dismay, Paulo Opilano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Souza in the 40th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Fabian Valery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Valery hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Opilano came free, but Ivo Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesinha Vieira to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulo Opilano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivo Ramalho. That made the score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Cesinha Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Everardo Francho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guilherme Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ivo Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Opilano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Hornos's Marciano Tanio was substituted for Humberto Iyan. When Guilherme Souza came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Imbituba - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Souza couldn't finish the play. Imbituba - FSCMZ made a substitution. Cristóvão Linares replaced Cesinha Vieira. Everardo Francho came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Imbituba - FSCMZ's Guilherme Souza. But to his dismay, Guilherme Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. 87 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Guilherme Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Everardo Francho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeremias Ignatius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ivo Ramalho made a huge save. In the 91st minute of the match Los Hornos got a corner. Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Agustin Cesaro ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Los Hornos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
