Joaquim Queirós started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes, Olívio Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SORRISO E. C. and the DESTROY players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Olívio Meirelles got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo de Brito to maneuver through the defense. After 10 minutes, Vítor Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SORRISO E. C. and the DESTROY players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Orlando Monte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvaldo Leal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 16 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Liher. Edvaldo Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Quintyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. SORRISO E. C.'s Joaquim Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Shepherd came free, but Edvaldo Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Enaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Enaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Joaquim Queirós recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vicente Enaut. Joaquim Queirós showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisito Ibar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Enaut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Madureira in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, DESTROY's 武 Messi got a free kick in the 55th minute. Nicolaas Tagliafico kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Reinaldo Marquez struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Vicente Enaut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Branco in the 59th minute of play forced DESTROY's goalkeeper Vicente Enaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SORRISO E. C.'s Edvaldo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Shepherd in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Júlio Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DESTROY's Delmar Tonio was substituted for Fernan Liher. DESTROY made a substitution. Haroldo Eneko replaced Luisito Ibar. Júlio Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Arnoldo Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Tonio to maneuver through the defense. DESTROY were furious when Nicolaas Tagliafico was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 80 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by Nicolaas Tagliafico. Vicente Enaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Júlio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Enaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by 武 Messi.
