Arnoldo Gilen charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnoldo Gilen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, EL REY DE LA CARNE's Arnoldo Gilen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Frances got free with Francisco Paez in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Favila in the 26th minute of play. With his leg Francisco Paez managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when EL REY DE LA CARNE's Apolo Frances fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Aragones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Efrain Gora fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EL REY DE LA CARNE's protests and gave Efrain Gora a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to EL REY DE LA CARNE getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Efrain Gora hit a great ball. Alberto Xabier kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ciriaco Aragones managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL REY DE LA CARNE's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Aragones was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Paez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apolo Frances received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Francisco Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodosio Giraldo made a kick off. Francisco Paez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Gilen, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Pegale De Puntín booed when EL REY DE LA CARNE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Guillelmus didn't get a good kick on the ball.
