The Nevşehirspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Tanju Çolak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nechifor Epure was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Vali Ghelmegean took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for İrfan-Can Eğribayat to make any attempt to save it. When Nevşehirspor's Tanju Çolak in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tanju Çolak ran back to his position shaking his head. Nechifor Epure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanju Çolak, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Tanju Çolak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nechifor Epure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanju Çolak in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Nevşehirspor booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Chilian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Necati Türkol hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Tanju Çolak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vali Ghelmegean to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Tanju Çolak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nechifor Epure. That made the score 1-4 in the 57 minute of play. Nechifor Epure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tanju Çolak in the 61st minute of the match. Ioan Oltean hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Nechifor Epure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tanju Çolak in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Ioan Oltean made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. İrfan-Can Eğribayat was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Tanju Çolak put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Nechifor Epure. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure got control of the ball when Tanju Çolak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goalkeeper Nechifor Epure had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tanju Çolak. 84 minutes into the match, Tanju Çolak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nechifor Epure. Academia Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tanju Çolak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. Abdulaziz Tunçkol hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
