União Independente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fumasche the free kick. In the 6th minute, Manuel Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13thth minute of the game Sydney Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fumasche's Reynaldo Formerio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reynaldo Formerio came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by União Independente's Sydney Madureira. But to his dismay, Sydney Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Balasi in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauan Lima saved União Independente from getting behind. If Basílio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Madureira struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Reynaldo Formerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União Independente. The Fumasche players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. União Independente were winning 0-4.

The crowd rose to their feet as Basílio Cunha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reynaldo Formerio. That made the score 0-5 in the 52 minute of play. After a rather tough play, União Independente's Orlando Bittencourt got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the game, Roberto Balasi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Cauan Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basílio Cunha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-6 to the left of a surprised Reynaldo Formerio 59 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Sydney Madureira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Formerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. Basílio Cunha struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Reynaldo Formerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União Independente. Reynaldo Formerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Sydney Madureira could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Reynaldo Formerio however easily saved by the left post. União Independente were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Fumasche's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wágner Perez took the corner. Wágner Perez made a great header on União Independente's corner, it was just that Fumasche's Reynaldo Formerio managed to reach the ball for a save. 86 minutes into the game, Sydney Madureira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reynaldo Formerio. Sydney Madureira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. When the match was over União Independente could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fumasche throughout the match.
