Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Teofilio ran back to his position shaking his head. Lisandro Ihintza made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Burhanettin Haymanalı sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Songurbey Türkmen during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Songurbey Türkmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferhat Atabey came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Grupo Informatico's Evaristo Brion. But to his dismay, Evaristo Brion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lisandro Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Songurbey Türkmen in the 13th minute of play. Ferhat Atabey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Grupo Informatico's Lisandro Ihintza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Cumhur Hüdayioğlu in the 18th minute of play. Silvestre Berdaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Ozan Hamurcuoğlu. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray's zone, Raul Teofilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferhat Atabey came out of the goal and Raul Teofilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferhat Atabey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Teofilio in the 42nd minute of play. Atakan Uçma hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Songurbey Türkmen made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Songurbey Türkmen in the 56th minute of play forced Grupo Informatico's goalkeeper Lisandro Ihintza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Mustafa Cumhur Hüdayioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Ihintza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lisandro Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Songurbey Türkmen in the 67th minute of the match. Lisandro Ihintza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Cumhur Hüdayioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Grupo Informatico getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Damian Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, Grupo Informatico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Gipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. Lisandro Ihintza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Okanay Utman's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Ferhat Atabey made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Raul Teofilio sent off a good shot on target. 1-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Mustafa Cumhur Hüdayioğlu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a little luck, Galatasaray's Ferhat Atabey got control of the ball when Raul Teofilio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Galatasaray were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
