The tension between the NECKER49 and the ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vasile Pordea hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. With a little luck, NECKER49's Timoteo Maldonado got control of the ball when Bengt-Arne Åberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timoteo Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. got a corner. NECKER49's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Bot ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Fernando Bot got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Timoteo Maldonado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 22nd minute, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Bengt-Arne Åberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Marco Ruben fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s protests and gave Marco Ruben a yellow card for diving instead. NECKER49's Jacobo Goren was substituted for Marcial Leoiar. Florencio Godoy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Fernado went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Bengt-Arne Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Arne Åberg couldn't finish the play. Florencio Godoy came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by NECKER49's Severiano Pasqual. But to his dismay, Severiano Pasqual quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Bengt-Arne Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. NECKER49's Timoteo Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 44th minute of play. Florencio Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Ursino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half NECKER49 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severiano Pasqual made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bengt-Arne Åberg made a precise shot to the right of Timoteo Maldonado. NECKER49's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Florencio Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Lekubegi in the 56th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bengt-Arne Åberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timoteo Maldonado was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After some careless play in the ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. defense, Severiano Pasqual kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florencio Godoy. The ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florencio Godoy should have stopped the shot. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. made a substitution. The supporters of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. booed when NECKER49 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Cordearo didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. reached it. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Florencio Godoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Bengt-Arne Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind NECKER49's goalkeeper Timoteo Maldonado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Melchor Gonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. NECKER49 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
