The supporters of GuateFortín booed when alvarado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Palban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Ilazki came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Miguel Ángel Benito. But to his dismay, Miguel Ángel Benito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 16 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Juan José Ferrero. In the 17th minute of the match Baltasar Segio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roberto Nunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlitos Bianchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Ilazki having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Braulio Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Palban hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Uriel Ilazki made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Miguel Ángel Benito sent off a good shot on target. Uriel Ilazki was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. When Carlitos Bianchi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the GuateFortín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlitos Bianchi couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Donato Ihintza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Nunes. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Nunes should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Ángel Benito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Juan José Ferraro hit a great ball. After 76 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Miguel Ángel Benito made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uriel Ilazki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uriel Ilazki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Ángel Benito's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Miguel Ángel Benito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GuateFortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. 86 minutes into the game, Juan José Ferraro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GuateFortín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave alvarado the free kick. Uriel Ilazki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. GuateFortín were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
