With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerry Lawler in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Ostadar saved alvarado from getting behind. Jerry Lawlers short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Ciro Ostadar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. alvarado's Ciro Ostadar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Lawler in the 34th minute of play. Frankie Carnes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Ostadar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Bixente Lizarazu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
