Generoso Sasoin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Pinto's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Eugenio Pinto sped through Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Generoso Sasoin. In the 38th minute, Gilberto Amato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Garin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.Independiente the free kick.
