Velezcamp's Virgilio Koldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Augusto Cordario made a precise shot to the right of Virgilio Koldo. Velezcamp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Augusto Cordario took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Koldo. Virgilio Koldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Velez Sarsfield's attentive Ando Averin managed to snatch the ball when Nereo Patxi made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. Augusto Cordario struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Virgilio Koldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Sarsfield. Augusto Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Koldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Velezcamp's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Virgilio Koldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Augusto Cordario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Cordario took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Koldo. The Velezcamp players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Velez Sarsfield were winning 0-4.

In the 54th minute, Augusto Cordario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Koldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 58th minute, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Augusto Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Koldo. Velezcamp's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Cordario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was substituted for Ignacio Berenguer. 70 minutes into the match, Velezcamp's goalkeeper Virgilio Koldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Cordario. After some careless play in the Velezcamp defense, Augusto Cordario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Koldo. The Velezcamp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Koldo should have stopped the shot. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Yiyo Bernal replaced Marcos Pacifico. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp was substituted for Filomeno Montrell. Augusto Cordario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Koldo having to interfere. Ago Tramp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Virgilio Koldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ago Tramp in the 82nd minute of play. Virgilio Koldo was a little too slow when Augusto Cordario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-10. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Koldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. Velez Sarsfield's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
