Sebastião Madureira hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Ángel Benito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. Augusto Cordario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Miguel Ángel Benito made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Miguel Ángel Benito. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Augusto Cordario sped through GuateFortín's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miguel Ángel Benito. Augusto Cordario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Miguel Ángel Benito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Ángel Benito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. GuateFortín's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Augusto Cordario scored to the left of an out of position Miguel Ángel Benito, making the score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Milton Umaña got a free kick in the 25th minute. Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Ernesto Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Ángel Benito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Benito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Cordario. GuateFortín's Miguel Ángel Benito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. GuateFortín's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Augusto Cordario scored to the left of an out of position Miguel Ángel Benito, making the score, 5-0. After 38th play minutes Augusto Cordario shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Miguel Ángel Benito and just under the crossbar into goal. 42 minutes into the game, Augusto Cordario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miguel Ángel Benito. Augusto Cordario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. A sloppy throw-in by Sebastião Madureira in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Velez Sarsfield's Javier Pinola. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Félix Moreno to strike the kick off in the second half. Miguel Ángel Benito came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario. But to his dismay, Augusto Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 56th minute, Augusto Cordario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Miguel Ángel Benito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Cordario in the 59th minute of the match. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Augusto Cordario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Ángel Benito. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Ángel Benito should have stopped the shot. After 77 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Sanchez. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Ago Tramp replaced Filomeno Montrell. After 79 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Sanchez. 81 minutes into the game, Augusto Cordario cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Miguel Ángel Benito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Miguel Ángel Benito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind GuateFortín's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Benito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Félix Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Ago Tramp made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Ángel Benito. GuateFortín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0.
