Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Augusto Cordario kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Cristian Naike dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erwin Huygens, 1-0. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Roland in the 11th minute of play. The throw-in from Filomeno Montrell in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vélez Juniors's Celedonio Eriz. Cristian Naike received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erwin Huygens came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Naike slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Ignacio Berenguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Vitin having to interfere. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Naike in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Naike blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erwin Huygens having to make a save. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens got control of the ball when Cristian Naike tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Roland came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erwin Huygens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Naike showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cristian Naike's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erwin Huygens was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Vélez Juniors were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Velez Sarsfield's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guido Luzaide took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Bernardo Sayvion got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erwin Huygens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Naike to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alberto Joey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Velez Sarsfield got a corner. Vélez Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filomeno Montrell ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Velez Sarsfield defense, Cristian Naike kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erwin Huygens. The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erwin Huygens should have stopped the shot. After having played for 64 minutes, Augusto Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Cordario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nicolas Roland hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Cordario. Ignacio Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Elpidio Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Vitin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Cordario in the 75th minute. Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Leandro Berti replaced Ignacio Berenguer. Velez Sarsfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filomeno Montrell in the 77th minute. Cristian Naike might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erwin Huygens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Naike ran back to his position shaking his head. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Naike in the 79th minute of the match. Severo Maule made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cristian Naike. Augusto Cordario struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Elpidio Vitin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Sarsfield. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
