Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ahmet Kanber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 5th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Kanber. FC Pink Panthers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 11th minute of play forced FC Pink Panthers's goalkeeper Ahmet Kanber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Claes Salqvist sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, FC Pink Panthers's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Ahmet Kanber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Ahmet Kanber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Ahmet Kanber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 33rd minute of the match. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arne Bergman to make the kick off. Arne Bergman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Pink Panthers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Ahmet Kanber threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ahmet Kanber firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 58th minute Carl Åkerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Kanber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 59th minute of the match. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Kanber narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Kanber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 76th playminute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Pink Panthers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Mattei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Kanber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FC Pink Panthers getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Harry Bergfeldt hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, FC Pink Panthers's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Ahmet Kanber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ahmet Kanber could save by the left post. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after FC Pink Panthers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner ended in Lars Meesters almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Pink Panthers's Ahmet Kanber did a great save. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 97th minute. At last the ball reached Lars Meesters at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of FC Pink Panthers. 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Pink Panthers.
