Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Asdrubal Prieto sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Asdrubal Prieto came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xaime Diez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Loren Prats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Xaime Diez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Asdrubal Prieto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Asdrubal Prieto scored 3-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Cabezon in the 35th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loren Prats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asdrubal Prieto to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asdrubal Prieto in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. In the 61stth minute of the game Asdrubal Prieto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Cabezon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Asdrubal Prieto was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético de Sagunto's players had a chance to rest. In the 68th minute of the match Asdrubal Prieto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Atlético de Sagunto:s Loren Prats showed great skill when he stopped Frank Sachs:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xaime Diez in the 77th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. 81 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Asdrubal Prieto came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes, Asdrubal Prieto made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the game, Atlético de Sagunto's Grant Cabezon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Sagunto's Asdrubal Prieto got a free kick in the 94th minute. When Frank Sachs fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Frank Sachs a yellow card for diving instead. 96 minutes into the match, Atlético de Sagunto's Xaime Diez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Atlético de Sagunto players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
