Kultapossukerho's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kultapossukerho's Elbert Hand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 8th minute of play. When Niko Petriläinen came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Kultapossukerho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niko Petriläinen couldn't finish the play. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elbert Hand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Kultapossukerho's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Elbert Hand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Sven Krakouer hit a great ball. Elbert Hand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niko Petriläinen struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kultapossukerho. Ari Hakanpää struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. In the 51st minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Chris Mergenthaler made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kultapossukerho's Petr Nakládal. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niko Petriläinen in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Niko Petriläinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niko Petriläinen in the 69th minute of play. Terho Brinck's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terho Brinck helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Kultapossukerho got a freekick which was hit by Terho Brinck. 73 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Niko Petriläinen came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kultapossukerho booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niko Petriläinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 96 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. When Niko Petriläinen came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Kultapossukerho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niko Petriläinen couldn't finish the play. The Germany supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Germany would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
