The referee showed Leonel Valerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 2 minutes into the game, one of Lugano Futbol:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ruud Wollans had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Frank Sachs's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruud Wollans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Lugano Futbol's Ruud Wollans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 9th minute of play forced Lugano Futbol's goalkeeper Ruud Wollans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruud Wollans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Eloy Herauso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruud Wollans having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Herauso came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Eloy Herauso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruud Wollans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Luciano Alvarez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

51 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Alvarez came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Luciano Alvarez notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Alvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Ham Shmuelson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Adrian Dreifuss charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Dreifuss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Ruud Wollans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Dreifuss in the 77th minute of play. Blas Ursino hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Liberto in the 88th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Ursino came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Lugano Futbol players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
