Zenon Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Chesus in the 4th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Karol Tomiczek took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Stanislaw Kuszczak to make any attempt to save it. 11 minutes into the match, Leszek Podwojski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanislaw Kuszczak. Griffins's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leszek Podwojski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Karol Tomiczek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Legia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Mihăilă. Stanislaw Kuszczak was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Leszek Podwojski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leszek Podwojski really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. 27 minutes into the match, Griffins's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Tomiczek came free, but Stanislaw Kuszczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Karol Tomiczek notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Griffins's Stanislaw Kuszczak. Stanislaw Kuszczak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ksawery Cichowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Kuszczak having to interfere. Legia Warszawa's Leszek Podwojski got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stanislaw Kuszczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Lindberg in the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Griffins's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ksawery Cichowski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leszek Podwojski might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanislaw Kuszczak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leszek Podwojski ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Tomiczek in the 40th minute of play forced Griffins's goalkeeper Stanislaw Kuszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Leszek Podwojski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legia Warszawa's supporters rose to their feet, but Leszek Podwojski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanislaw Kuszczak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Legia Warszawa booed when Griffins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariusz Gardocki didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leszek Podwojski made a kick off. Karol Tomiczek made a great header on Legia Warszawa's corner, it was just that Griffins's Stanislaw Kuszczak managed to reach the ball for a save. Ksawery Cichowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Kuszczak having to interfere. Leszek Podwojski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Leszek Podwojski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Stanislaw Kuszczak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ksawery Cichowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Axel Lindberg got a free kick in the 67th minute. Axel Lindberg took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stanislaw Kuszczak. Stanislaw Kuszczak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Axel Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Stanislaw Kuszczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stanislaw Kuszczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Podwojski, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Griffins's Mariusz Gardocki got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Griffins's zone, Karol Tomiczek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislaw Kuszczak came out of the goal and Karol Tomiczek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiu Yang in the 85th minute of play forced Griffins's goalkeeper Stanislaw Kuszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Legia Warszawa's Leszek Podwojski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanislaw Kuszczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Leszek Podwojski got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Legia Warszawa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
