The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antonio Canal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mabrouk Dolar in the 3rd minute of the match. Damaso Roldanillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coronel Revuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Antonio Canal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo De la Fuente in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Xanthos Trampakoulos came free, but Damaso Roldanillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Hansen hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Luis-Antonio Verdeja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villawalter City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis-Antonio Verdeja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Villawalter City got a freekick which was hit by Xanthos Trampakoulos. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Gerald Deulofeu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Roldanillo came out of the goal and Gerald Deulofeu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Aldo De la Fuente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Canal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes in the game Ezequiel Nesor did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Delmiro Tabor. Antonio Canal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Mazuste in the 45th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximino Mazuste in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Canal prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerald Deulofeu was the one to do the kick off. San Lorenzo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mabrouk Dolar in the 57th minute. It was a well-played corner which Freddy Izel managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Bernie Strauss got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 67 minutes, Xabel Candelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villawalter City and the San Lorenzo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xabel Candelo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 80th match minute, Villawalter City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis-Antonio Verdeja to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, San Lorenzo's Damaso Roldanillo got control of the ball when Coronel Revuelta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute Maximino Mazuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Canal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Maximino Mazuste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Canal was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Villawalter City's Antonio Canal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mabrouk Dolar in the 84th minute of play. Damaso Roldanillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis-Antonio Verdeja in the 89th minute of the match.
