Jairo Mattos had several of the Serbia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Zvezdan Nedeljkovic as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 10th minute, Jovan Borisov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Mattos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out and tried to block the shot, but Jairo Mattos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 12th minute. Jairo Mattos might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 21 played minutes Jairo Mattos rounded Serbia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Mattos in the 24th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serbia's Miljan Gavrilovic managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sebastião Mendonça in the 26 minute of the game. Jairo Mattos might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Mattos ran back to his position shaking his head. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Jairo Mattos sent off a good shot on target. Serbia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jairo Mattos 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. After 32 played minutes Serbia got a freekick which was hit by Jovan Borisov. Jairo Mattos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a huge save. Arariuna F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sezen Hüdayioğlu in the 34th minute. A nice corner shot did that Sezen Hüdayioğlu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zvezdan Nedeljkovic quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Mattos in the 36th minute of play. Jairo Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arariuna F.C's Nestor Garcia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zivko Cvetkovic, made in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Arariuna F.C's Jairo Mattos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sreten Popovic stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Mattos in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Mattos in the 56th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Serbia's zone, Jairo Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal and Jairo Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serbia's Zivko Cvetkovic quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sebastião Mendonça, made in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 66th minute Jairo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Mattos in the 67th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Serbia got a freekick which was hit by Zivko Cvetkovic. The Arariuna F.C fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Arariuna F.C's Jairo Mattos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zvezdan Nedeljkovic having to make a save. Serbia's Borjan Golubovic quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Osvaldo do Nascimento, made in the 81st minute of the game. After having played for 88 minutes, Jairo Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arariuna F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th match minute, Serbia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borjan Golubovic to maneuver through the defense.
