The supporters of E. C. Flamengo Paraibano booed when Motu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Cugat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Motu's goalkeeper Domingo Seber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inácio Silveira. Domingo Seber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Silveira in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Diogo Maranhense got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Mario Cugat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hélio Guimarães skillfully saved the ball. 30 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Sendoa came free, but Hélio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remo Peres to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Inácio Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Domingo Seber. Motu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 55th minute, Remo Peres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E. C. Flamengo Paraibano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Domingo Seber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd match minute, Motu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Amor to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Motu defense, Inácio Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingo Seber. The Motu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingo Seber should have stopped the shot. If Remo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Seber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Silveira in the 69th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Inácio Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingo Seber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amancio Pio got free with Hélio Guimarães in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Motu's Domingo Seber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Peres in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Alexandre Melo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Remo Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano had won after a very even match.
