Sociedad Anónima's Txurio Closa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 23 minutes into the match, Ximenez Sariego had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manole Ghiondea. Galati Harbour Cats's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ximenez Sariego was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to Sociedad Anónima getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Christiano Planes hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Filip Mavrogheni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galati Harbour Cats fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Manole Ghiondea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ximenez Sariego went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Viorel Ponta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matxin Uceda having to interfere. Manole Ghiondea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ximenez Sariego in the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Fabian Minculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Mazorra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Ghiondea having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Eusebiu Borza made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sociedad Anónima's Nuno Mazorra got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 58th match minute, Sociedad Anónima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txurio Closa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Mazorra in the 63rd minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Manole Ghiondea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Minculescu in the 64th minute of play forced Sociedad Anónima's goalkeeper Matxin Uceda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Mavrogheni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matxin Uceda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. With a little luck, Sociedad Anónima's Matxin Uceda got control of the ball when Filip Mavrogheni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuno Mazorra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Ghiondea having to interfere. Sociedad Anónima's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
