Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Lukas Apelkvist came free, but Hélio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélio Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lukas Apelkvist's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 17 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Lukas Apelkvist came free, but Hélio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Haymakers FC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Haymakers FC's Lukas Apelkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. E. C. The tension between the Haymakers FC and the E. C. Flamengo Paraibano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of E. C. Flamengo Paraibano booed when Haymakers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Klintæus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kim Kullgren kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. With a little luck, Haymakers FC's Stig Brask got control of the ball when Hamílton Tande tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Diogo Maranhense hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inácio Silveira made a kick off. Hamílton Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélio Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Lukas Apelkvist sent off a good shot on target. Hélio Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukas Apelkvist in the 60th minute of the match. Stig Brask showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th match minute, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Lukas Apelkvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Hélio Guimarães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson Queirós during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to E. C. The audience was convinced that Lukas Apelkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio Guimarães was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. In the 98th minute, Bertil Persson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haymakers FC played a much better game than E. C. Flamengo Paraibano and deserved their victory. The E. C. Flamengo Paraibano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
