When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Filipp Afanasev put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Patrick Forssell struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipp Afanasev in the 72nd minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaser Özek in the 73rd minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gencho Semovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Gencho Semovski came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 16-0 when Filipp Afanasev sped through Serbia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Patrick Forssell scored 17-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Betinho Peres with Gencho Semovski as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gencho Semovski in the 90th minute of play. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filipp Afanasev went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 19-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
