Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chris Nygaard took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loid Gijsbrechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Young Ostend United's Pino Coryn got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marcus Roggen fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Young Ostend United's protests and gave Marcus Roggen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Young Ostend United's Marcus Roggen got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Young Ostend United getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Johnny Van Hoeyvelt hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loid Gijsbrechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Rutgeerts in the 20th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Steen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Loid Gijsbrechts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loid Gijsbrechts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes, Mathias Ludvigsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denmark and the Young Ostend United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 minutes Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen managed, with a little bit of luck, save Marcus Roggen's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. In the 30th minute, Marcus Roggen made a precise shot to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Young Ostend United's goalie prevented a goal. The throw-in from Aime Van Beylen in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. 45 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Rutgeerts came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raymond Rutgeerts to make the kick off. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Van Hoeyvelt in the 52nd minute of the match. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Van Hoeyvelt in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Rutgeerts in the 55th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Denmark booed when Young Ostend United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Van Hoeyvelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bertram Svenningsen came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertram Svenningsen couldn't finish the play. Natan De Mayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loid Gijsbrechts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Van Hoeyvelt came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Roggen was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 78 played minutes Young Ostend United got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Roggen. In the 79th minute of the match, Mikkel Wulff tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Loid Gijsbrechts saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Young Ostend United's Loid Gijsbrechts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Young Ostend United from getting a goal against them. After 83 played minutes Young Ostend United got a freekick which was hit by Pino Coryn. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Aime Van Beylen made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. Loid Gijsbrechts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 90th minute of play. Natan De Mayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loid Gijsbrechts having to interfere. Young Ostend United succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Denmark had controlled the match.
