The supporters of Hincha Pelotas FC booed when Original Sabahan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fery Budikusuma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hincha Pelotas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alvarez Pierredonda in the 13th minute. Ismael Larrategui in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Widodo Reza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 25 minutes into the match, Ismael Larrategui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Widodo Reza. Original Sabahan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Larrategui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Valentine Corias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Widodo Reza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Widodo Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Larrategui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentine Corias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Widodo Reza made a huge save. Widodo Reza made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Valentine Corias sent off a good shot on target. Hincha Pelotas FC's Alvarez Pierredonda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Widodo Reza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ismael Larrategui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hincha Pelotas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Larrategui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Widodo Reza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Joko Waluyo made the kick off in the second half. Valentine Corias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Widodo Reza having to interfere. Valentine Corias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Widodo Reza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hincha Pelotas FC's Urtsin Murueta got a free kick in the 59th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Valentine Corias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hincha Pelotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentine Corias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute of the game Fery Budikusuma made a throw-in which Cregan Elong played forward. 64 minutes into the match, Hincha Pelotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joko Waluyo came free, but Hendrik van Eijnde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Widodo Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Larrategui, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Ismael Larrategui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cregan Elong hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Widodo Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Larrategui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Widodo Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentine Corias in the 89th minute of play. Hincha Pelotas FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
