In the 23rd minute, Hipolito Osmundo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hendrik van Eijnde. The goal made the score 1-0. Hipolito Osmundo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Hendrik van Eijnde made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Urtsin Murueta in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Motu's Jairo Orti. Hendrik van Eijnde made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Hipolito Osmundo sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Motu's goal looked a bit too open when Valentine Corias came free, but Valentin Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute, Valentine Corias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Hincha Pelotas FC defense, Hipolito Osmundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hendrik van Eijnde. The Hincha Pelotas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hendrik van Eijnde should have stopped the shot. Valentin Gau made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Valentine Corias sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute Motu were awarded a corner. Gao Yang Wei went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gao Yang Wei got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hendrik van Eijnde quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Hipolito Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Motu's Anastasio Garaona was substituted for Hipolito Osmundo. Urtsin Murueta kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Uriel Lleir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hendrik van Eijnde was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Hincha Pelotas FC's Hendrik van Eijnde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Lleir in the 81st minute of play. Astor Barbosa's late challenge caught a Hincha Pelotas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Astor Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Motu getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Astor Barbosa hit a great ball. Motu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
