An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Olof Mogren in the 5th minute of play forced Hincha Pelotas FC's goalkeeper Hendrik van Eijnde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hincha Pelotas FC's Hendrik van Eijnde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Olof Mogren in the 6th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match, Ismael Larrategui tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nils Cane saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Larrategui in the 13th minute of play forced Haymakers FC's goalkeeper Nils Cane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candelario Cortina kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Uno Björklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sven-Olof Mogren came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Haymakers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Olof Mogren couldn't finish the play. Jim Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik van Eijnde having to interfere. With his leg Nils Cane managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Hincha Pelotas FC's Ismael Larrategui fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentine Corias got free with Nils Cane in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Haymakers FC booed when Hincha Pelotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Zornoza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentine Corias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hincha Pelotas FC's goalkeeper Hendrik van Eijnde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led to Hincha Pelotas FC's León Onez getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Jim Håkansson made the kick off in the second half. Víkingur Bastarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Hendrik van Eijnde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes in the game, Sven-Olof Mogren fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hendrik van Eijnde having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Hincha Pelotas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candelario Cortina to maneuver through the defense. Hendrik van Eijnde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommy Josefsson went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jim Håkansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hendrik van Eijnde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jim Håkansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Hendrik van Eijnde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Håkansson in the 82nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Haymakers FC's Jim Håkansson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hendrik van Eijnde. That made the score 0-3 after 88 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Hincha Pelotas FC's Ismael Larrategui got a free kick in the 91st minute. Tommy Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik van Eijnde having to interfere. Haymakers FC played a much better game than Hincha Pelotas FC and deserved their victory. The Hincha Pelotas FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
