Anselmo Sarracino kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Armada's Maxim Huștiu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Atlético Atlanta. Octavian Cristian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Melquiades Salvatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bonifacio Cresconio's late challenge caught a Armada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Cresconio helped the player get up and apologised. Bonifacio Cresconio kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Bonifacio Cresconio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Rădescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Huly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Sergiu Rădescu made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorin Mereuță during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Mereuță. Bonifacio Cresconio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Sergiu Rădescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 16 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Sarracino. Melquiades Salvatore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavian Cristian's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Octavian Cristian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Armada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Atlanta the free kick. After a rather tough play, Armada's Octavian Cristian got a free kick in the 19th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Cristian in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Panaitescu in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Sarracino. When Armada's Octavian Cristian in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Iordănescu during the 27th minute. The tension between the Armada and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Nalo couldn't finish the play. Sergiu Rădescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Jaunti in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Armada booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Jaunti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Dorin Mereuță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th play minute Severino Huly came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sergiu Rădescu. 1-0. In the 44th minute, Octavian Cristian made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Salvatore. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorin Mereuță to make the kick off. Manole Nișu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Melquiades Salvatore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Armada. Dorin Mereuță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Melquiades Salvatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Mereuță. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Bonifacio Cresconio got a free kick in the 91st minute.
