Aurelian Acalinei started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Purje. Anselmo Sarracino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Octav Hortopan made a huge save. After 8 minutes, Virgil Nedelcea made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Melquiades Salvatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Stelian in the 20th minute of play. Anton Topală hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Octav Hortopan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Fc Gheraseni from getting a goal against them. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Alexandru Stelian got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Eugen Perișoară tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 36 minutes, Aurelian Acalinei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Fc Gheraseni and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelian Acalinei to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Bonifacio Cresconio hit a great ball. Melquiades Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Nedelcea in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half -BZF- Fc Gheraseni were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Niculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes, Fabian Guter mouthed his way into the referee's book.
