Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Nereo Argina made the kick off and thus started the match. 5 minutes into the game, Nereo Argina recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Keld Paulsen. Nereo Argina showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Nereo Argina reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Keld Paulsen. The goal made the score 2-0. Kenn Skou charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenn Skou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Kenn Skou. Cosme Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Cosme Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Kenn Skou hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Denmark booed when River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfried Van Cauwenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nereo Argina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great ball. When Nereo Argina came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the River fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Argina couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfried Van Cauwenberg came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adolfo Obeko was slow to take the kick. During this time River's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on River's corner Adolfo Obeko fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Keld Paulsen quite easily take care of the ball. In the 75th minute, Ambrosio Mitxaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornelio Henry kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ambrosio Mitxaut made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cornelio Henry. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Van Cauwenberg in the 89th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes in the game Ambrosio Mitxaut did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cornelio Henry. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Ambrosio Mitxaut with Cornelio Henry as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. River were victorious despite being under pressure from Denmark for much of the match.
