With a little luck, C.A.M.P's Jeremias Vedillo got control of the ball when Bogdan Udrişte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcel Chiriță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Melander in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Michael Melander in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Chiriță saved ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Karl-Michael Melander managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.M.P's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Michael Melander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Chiriță breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Michael Melander in the 21st minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Marcel Chiriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Chiriță came out of the goal and Karl-Michael Melander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Sandu Gheorghiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Marcel Chiriță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Melander in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Eugen Lupea got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
52 minutes into the match, C.A.M.P's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Lupea came free, but Jeremias Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Mendiko made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Zdzislaw Rekowski. Karl-Michael Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 66 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Michael Melander came free, but Marcel Chiriță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A.M.P's Karl-Michael Melander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcel Chiriță. That made the score 0-2 after 75 minutes of play. Karl-Michael Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcel Chiriță made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Karl-Michael Melander sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, C.A.M.P's Karl-Michael Melander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcel Chiriță. Marcel Chiriță yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. If Jun Osborne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Celsinho Pereira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 95 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, one of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ASF BAIA MARE -MM-. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.A.M.P eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
