Wilfredo Segio scored 3-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natanael Paraense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isidoro Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Schmidt in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Goiás Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Valdir Neves went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Valdir Neves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos did a great save. In the 31st minute, Oswaldo Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafim Cunha hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Nicanor Ceandro came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Club Almirante Brown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Ceandro couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Etxepare during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute Guido Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Guido Bautista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Almirante Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goiás Esporte Clube the free kick. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee ignored Club Almirante Brown's protests and gave Aldo Asier a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Asier didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's Valdir Neves broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Club Almirante Brown could leave the field as winners, despite Goiás Esporte Clube having more of the ball for most of the match.
