The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adam Adamski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Udrişte, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Huștiu in the 5th minute of play forced Sociedad Anónima's goalkeeper Adam Adamski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Carulla got free with Tobias Incendio in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Larren in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobias Incendio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felix Larren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tobias Incendio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Edelmiro Carulla scored to the left of an out of position Tobias Incendio, making the score, 1-0. Edelmiro Carulla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Tobias Incendio made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Sociedad Anónima's Aztore Ferreras seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aztore Ferreras the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sociedad Anónima protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aztore Ferreras had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sociedad Anónima's Gastón Benedetti was substituted for Felix Larren. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sociedad Anónima fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! In the 33rd minute, Bogdan Udrişte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Adamski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Adam Adamski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Udrişte in the 36th minute of the match. Tobias Incendio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edelmiro Carulla in the 38th minute. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gigi Brânzaș hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Moura came free, but Tobias Incendio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Carulla might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Incendio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edelmiro Carulla ran back to his position shaking his head. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Tobias Incendio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting a goal against them. After the first half ASF BAIA MARE -MM- were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogdan Udrişte was the one to do the kick off. Eugen Lupea's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adam Adamski firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Bogdan Udrişte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Adamski was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Adam Adamski was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Bogdan Udrişte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bogdan Udrişte really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 65th minute Bogdan Udrişte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Adamski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Adamski came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Bogdan Udrişte. But to his dismay, Bogdan Udrişte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Sociedad Anónima's Fernandez Montoto was substituted for Edelmiro Carulla. Marcel Petculescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Radu Rădoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Adam Adamski made a huge save. Fernandez Montoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes, Inko Estibalez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sociedad Anónima and the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Sociedad Anónima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Moura to maneuver through the defense. The Sociedad Anónima fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ASF BAIA MARE -MM- were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
