Özgür Onur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Özgür Onur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but François-Xavier Dionnet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Basilio Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Arendarski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Arendarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özgür Onur to make the kick off. In the 55th minute C. A. Potrero were awarded a corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Fernandez in the 64th minute of play forced C. A. Many of Ruquense FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ruquense FC may have spent more time on the ball, but C. A. Potrero were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
